Disney Vacation Club opens the first new monorail line resort in more than two decades.  Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort debuts.  A pedestrian “sky bridge” walkway connects the new resort to the Grand Canyon Concourse original hotelFollowing similar sleek stylings of the 1971 original Contemporary Resort, the new crescent shaped tower is 15 stories high, with an all new Top of the World Lounge on the rooftop.  It features sweeping views of Bay Lake on the east side, and Magic Kingdom and Seven Seas Lagoon views on the west.   Bay Lake Tower features 295 2-bedroom equivalent villas, and 14  3-bedroom Grand Villas.  It is the first resort to require 24-hour keycard access.
