Host: Aaron Rittmaster

With the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens just a few days away, the panel dives into a discussion of the movies that started it all. It’s a mega-sized episode, befitting a mega-sized topic. We discuss our personal experiences with the release of the original films, their impact on the movie industry and their larger cultural impact. We also have a spoilerific discussion of the plots of the original Star Wars trilogy films, in case you need to quickly catch up kids who don’t quite have the patience to watch them with you before going to see The Force Awakens. This series will continue next week, with a similar discussion of the prequel films, and culminate with a live show discussion of The Force Awakens on Sunday, December 27 at 7:00 p.m.

What are your memories of the original release of Star Wars (before it was known as “A New Hope”)? What did the panel forget about? What did we get wrong? Tell us about it!
