As we continue our summer tour of non-Disney Destinations, David Matt takes the DAD Show along on a Daddy-Daughter trip to spend a few days at SeaWorld San Antonio and the Aquatica Water Park. We are joined on the podcast by all three of David’s daughters, Katherine, Christina, and Cecilia. We discuss important Dad topics this time around, including dealing with a theme park that runs out of beer and the ever-popular snacking for lunch. We also get a great review of the shows and attractions of both the SeaWorld and Aquatica parks as well as some important budget-saving tips.
Hint: a one-day any day ticket costs $54/adult and $45/child, but a “Fun Card” (which is like an annual pass, but tied to the calendar year, so it doesn’t run a full 12-months) only costs $104/adult and $95/child, so you start saving money on the second day you enter the park. Even an annual pass, good for a full 12-months, only costs $124.75/year, so you start saving by your third park day. And they even offer a Platinum Pass that is an annual pass that includes ALL United States Sea World, Aquatica and Busch Gardens parks (even Sesame Place) for $200. That’s a real bargain if you hit multiple cities with SeaWorld parks in one year. (The only U.S. park that isn’t covered is Discovery Cove, because of its rather unique all-inclusive pricing structure. But you do get a discount even there as a Platinum Pass holder).
The DAD Show is sponsored by Kingdom Strollers, Orlando’s Premium Stroller and Crib Rental source.
