What led me to cast my vote for Team Bacon was the thoroughness of their theme. Think about it, it’s in the name; “theme” park. Having only visited WDW, I lean to that as a basis of comparison. Each WDW park sticks mainly to a certain theme; HS with the movies, Epcot with the world showcase, AK with the animals, and MK with the classic Disney fairytales and stories. It creates a sense of cohesion, lets you “enter a world” if you will. I think Team Bacon did that perfectly with their selections.
I voted for RRRR’s because of what I saw as an Adventure theme. It looks like it would be a blast. I would need a vacation to rest from the vacation.
This was tougher than I thought. At points during the podcast, I thought it’d be easy. But now, seeing them all in front of me, it was tough. Congrats to winner and know that you all did a GREAT job.
The dole whip availability made me want to vote for rogues park but quintessential’s park got the got due to being able to provide more enjoyment for our family with younger children.
Errr. *got the vote
There are parts from each park I would Vote for… but ultimately it came down between 2 teams… RRRR and Q. Sorry Bacon. However… I would visit all 3
I felt RRRR had the best cohesive theme…and the most Dole Whip. Aulani as a Wild Card was brilliant… and I felt they did a great job describing their park.
Team Q I feel has the best balance for an entire family regardless of age size or budget. Including Resorts (though basic Value rooms may be in short supply they are available.) Plus you got a Castle. and my 2 favorite Attractions… PhilharMagic and Splash Mountain.
Team Q got the vote in the end.
Liked the Idea and execution… I would have added a selection for Shopping and other activities.
Thanks for the 3 Teams and Aaron for participating.
I had to go with Team Bacon. All three were great. Since I haven’t been to DL, I didn’t have those personal experiences. When it came down to the decision, Team Bacon just had more of those attractions I liked – Space Mountain, Star Tours, Spaceship Earth, and CR.
It came down to Bacon vs. Quintessentials for me. RRRR has a great theme and would be fun but just isn’t my personal taste. Bacon had an awesome theme and I love what they did… I mean I love thrill rides and they’ve got tons of them. Even if they don’t call theme thrill rides. But I’m going with the Quintessentials. I feel like they did the best job of getting a good mix of things that aural to everyone. And props for really using all the parks.
But… my vote could have easily been stolen by any team that would have had BTMRR, RNRC, and California Screamin
The deciding factor for me was a park that had all my favorite rides. My family loves TSMM and Buzz as well as our favorite breakfast item being the maple cinnamon rolls from Gaston’s. With all that being said, I also love the idea of keeping a park centered on animation (maybe because I helped come up with the idea). So my vote went to Animagic Kingdom! BAM!
I voted Rowdy Rogues Raucous Rogues because they not only had the best panelists and best themed, but they have multiple locations where you can purchase a Dole Whip, something that is lacking in every other park. I don’t know why the others hate Dole Whips, but if you vote for them, then you hate Dole Whips too
Team Bacon sold me with the monorail, I can’t do a monorail crawl at the other parks!
I voted for Team Q. I felt they planned a fantastic park in the vision of Walt Disney parks. It was a family friendly park.
Each one had it’s valid points. Not one was a clear cut stand out for my preferences though. This was sort of like voting for president, picking the lesser of all evils.
I liked Rowdy Rhode’s mixture of some of the more traditional attractions like Jungle Cruise and Tiki Room with more recent additions like World of Color and Kilimanjaro Safari. The inclusion of Aloha Aisle the kicker.
All good parks and as much as I want Dole a whips 24/7, Team Bacon had both Sci Fi and Haunted Mansion, both must dos every trip.
I think all 3 teams did a good job. Ultimately I went with the Rogues because they built a true theme that stuck together throughout and I thought they sold there park the best at the end.
very close to voting RRRR but for me quintessentials piped it to the win by one point…fantasmic and MP were the tipping point. I know they are not must do’s for everyone but always are for me
Love the adventure theme from RRRR. Team bacon was a close second, but I would want to stay in the resorts more from RRRR. We would like to stay at Alunai, The Poly or Ft Wilderness. That resort creativity put the park over the top!
I like the way the RRRRRRRs (or whatever they called themselves) really tied their theme together – extending it through all of the attractions and into the resorts. Plus – all the Dole Whips I can eat.
Great Job by all the teams! Would have loved to have seen this go a few more rounds! I cast my vote for Team Bacon because it was the park I would have loved as a teenager and the park I would love to take my son to as he grows up.
All three teams had great parks – but I really like how the RRRRs surrounded their park with their awesome hotel picks (although I’d hate to see the room rate at Aulani). The safari for a kids ride is a great selection
