Walt Disney World:  June 11, 1977
Walt Disney World introduces Magic Kingdom guests to the  “spectacular festival pageant of nighttime magic and imagination, in thousands of sparking lights and electrosynthemagnetic musical sounds… the Main Street Electrical Parade.”(The parade originally debuted at Disneyland in 1971 and will then run at the Magic Kingdom through September 1992 when it is replaced by SpectroMagic, but will return to the park again in May 1999 and again in June 2010.)

After nearly a decade since the original 1959 Submarine Voyage was closed, and a decade of an idle lagoon inside TomorrowlandDisneyland debuts a re-imagined version of the classic attraction as Finding Nemo: Submarine Voyage, inspired by the Disney/Pixar animated feature, “Finding Nemo.”
