Host: Aaron Rittmaster
Panel: Bob Chavez; David Nicely; Matt Weier
In Episode 183, the panel discusses navigating a Walt Disney World vacation with a family of six (or more). We discuss the unique challenges of traveling with a group of six at Walt Disney World, including transportation, resort accommodations, dining and park touring – particularly when the children outnumber the adults. Have you traveled to Walt Disney World with a party of six or more? Do you have any recommendations (or warnings) about traveling with a large group? We ran into the most rental cars only seat 7 issue too. I know suburbans can seat 8 but it seems like everything on rental car companies sites show 7 passengers. It’s one of the reasons why we drive our minivan on some of these trips. Odysseys and Sienna’s both seat 8 people.
Great episode! My first ever WDW trip was with 11. I’m the oldest of 7 kids, and we took two grandparents as well! That trip we flew and stayed in Shades of Green, but for multiple trips since then, we’ve had 9, drove our 15 passenger van and found the absolute cheapest way to stay is camping. Never underestimate the savings (and great fun) that the Wilderness Campgrounds offer. Obviously some people would never camp (and summer camping is a bad idea) but for those that love to camp anyway, or hardcore riders that only return to sleep, camping has great offerings at Disney.
