Was interesting to hear how much Terry disliked Orange Lake resort. Perhaps it’s really changing fast? We stayed there in March 2013 (in the “West side”) and found it just fine. Not the best/worst dining options ever, and no waterside in the west side pool (east side has one, but it has height requirement).
Didn’t see any noticeable housekeeping problems like he had though. Found the built-in kitchenette far superior to the rooms in the Contemporary (real bowls/spoons/dishwasher/toaster!). Not too far from the parks at all either, though add in all the time getting to/from park parking lot to your car and it’s ~45min each way esp at MK.
