Eric – thanks for the shout out. It’s good to be recognized for my efforts.
Aaron – I don’t know what kind of caves you live in down in Kansas, but up here, we pour a cement foundation for our houses. Then wood or steel studs to support the walls, topped off by asphalt shingles on the roof. Specialized building materials for different applications. The same is true for food by-product fortresses. Chicken bones for the foundation, shrimp peels for the walls. It’s basic engineering.
Oh, and in my humble opinion, you guys blew the Mickey’s Backyard BBQ/1900 Park Faire matchup. Mickey’s is much more than a character BBQ meal. There is a full band playing live music while you eat. Then during breaks, a trick roping cowboy entertains the crowd with lasso tricks and his bull whip. Add in Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Chip and Dale in their western apparel and the unique location in the woods of Fort Wilderness and Mickey’s Backyard BBQ gets my vote every time.
I hear you Barry. I think the big hurdle for the panel was that, even with all of that, we didn’t feel like Mickey’s Backyard BBQ could justify twice the price of 1900 Park Fare for fairly basic food.
