However, I had to go with the true classics of Snow White through Sleeping Beauty. Many people talk of how the “9 Old Men” changed animation, but this is the era when those 9 Old Men learned from the original Disney animators and when the “Disney Style” was set. This era really did revolutionize animation and the fact that these films, some 75 years old, still enthrall audiences today is a testiment to that. afwdwfan on November 14, 2012 at 9:25 am I agree with Terrence. You really can make a strong case for any of the eras, but I was basically torn between the 30’s – 50’s and the 80’s – 90’s eras. The first era is really what gave us everything we have today, and I have nothing but respect and admiration for all of those films. I ended up giving my vote to 80’s – 90’s though. As good as the early films were, it is hard to beat an era that includes The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast and the Lion King. And I tend to be a little more partial to this era since these are the films that came out while I was growing up. baseballmickey on November 14, 2012 at 10:14 pm I also voted for 80s and 90s. Disney animation was resurrected in this period. While I enjoy the classic films and some of the more underrated films of the 60s and 70s. It’s the ones from the 80s and 90s period that I find myself watching again and again. Brady Aymond on November 15, 2012 at 3:55 pm I voted for 80s-90s over 30-50s. I think the classic Disney films (30-50s)are awesome and nostalgic and all that, but I just relate better to the ones in the 80s. I think the main reason I keep coming back to is soundtrack. The songs in the 80s-90s are upbeat and sing-a-long songs that just reflect the movie so well.
