This podcast, as all podcasts that talk about food do, inspired me. There are some good points that were made in the episode, but it made me really think about the places we enjoy for lunch around the parks.
5. Sci Fi – If you’re not on DP, it is a somewhat less expensive sit down meal, and relaxing in the dark, air conditioned building in the middle of a hot summer day is a great break from the park.
4. Pecos Bill – A family favorite. Always our first meal in the MK.
3. La Cantina de San Angel – We always eat a meal there and typically visit a second time and get some nachos. We made a special trip from MK to EPCOT one day last year, just because we were craving La Cantina for lunch.
2. Flame Tree BBQ – Love the atmosphere and the food. Also for a QS meal credit, there’s not a much better deal around than the rib/chicken combo.
1. Via Napoli – For about $30 you can get enough pizza to feed 3 people. If you want other dishes it gets expensive quickly, but if you just want to grab a few slices of pizza, it is a great meal for a reasonable price.
My honorable mention will go to Whispering Canyon. It would have probably been #2 if not for the recent menu change that did away with the lunch skillet.
Lots of good suggestions. I am liking Restaurantasaurus more than I used to. We also enjoy Pizzafari at Animal Kingdom too, though it seems like the menu is maybe a little more limited than it used to be. Sure love the interior decor and the AC there too!
Let’s see…don’t want to rank them…but I’ll list some that I didn’t hear in the podcast…
Main Street Bakery
Katsura Grill
Yak and Yeti Counter Service
Pizzafari
Everything POP
Pepper Market
Turkey Legs… Frontierland
Probably could add/remove/shift depending
