Host – Aaron Rittmaster
Panel – Eric Anderson; Paul Hajjar; Nathan Trent
In Episode 32, the DISDads panel completed our wishful thinking look at the future of the Walt Disney World theme parks. The panel suggested Disney’s Animal Kingdom attractions that have run their course and are ripe for removal. Next, we addressed attractions in need of major overhauls. We took a break so that Nathan Trent could take a long-overdue turn on the hot seat for 10 Questions. And finally, we discussed new attractions that would help bring Disney’s Animal Kingdom forward into the future.
Special thanks to our Producer/Engineer Josh Haas, who also created and recorded our intro music. The DIS Dads Podcast is edited and produced by Josh Haas/Wizard of Haas Production.

I loved the Blue Sky podcasts, especially since I like to have those blue sky dreams while walking the park. After listening to the Animal Kingdom one, I have to share my idea.
It actually fits two of the things you guys brought up during the podcast. I would like to get rid of Dinoland all together, and turn that into Australia. You could have a walkabout area (like Pangoni and Maharajah) with animals native to Australia. You could keep the dinosaur attraction there, because well, there were dinosaurs in Australia also. You could even keep Restaurantasaurus, but if you felt the need to re-theme, you could theme it to Australia without losing the content.
With Finding Nemo the musical in that area, you could bridge the gap from Australia to Nemo with a great barrier reef attraction. It would get Aaron’s “sea creatures” into Animal kingdom. I’d like a nice air-conditioned aquarium area in that part of the park.
With Asia and Africa already represented, it would be an easy thing for Disney to do to just add Australia. It’s pretty clear Dinoland has worn out its welcome. You could tear down primeval whirl and add another E-ticket attraction there.
I don’t know if it would work, but it is blue sky, after all.
