I had a hard time coming up with a poll topic, so I let my daughter help this time. She wants to know – who’s your favorite Disney Princess? Tell us why in the comments.

My first child, she loved Cinderella. So when I think princess, I think her, I think Cinderella.
I’ll probably be the only one that votes for Tiana, but I like her the most. Naturally, I relate to her, being a fellow Louisianian and lover of all things NOLA. She’s also a hard-working princess (I guess they all are, right?) and I admire the fact that she can cook a mean gumbo and beignets.
That said, I’ve never seen her in person in the parks, but we’ll try to seek her out this time so my boys can get pictures with her.
Ariel is my pick. Partially because that is who my daughter was named after, but because Ariel began the new generation of Disney Animation and the expansion of Princesses. Ariel is the one that mimics that little bit of rebelliousness in all of us. We all know that Little Princesses keep us wrapped around their fingers.
Well, Da!!!!
Brady – I voted for Tiana as well. But for different reasons. My daughter is African American so I was thrilled to see that Disney came out with minority princess, showing all little girls that anyone can be a princess.
Difficult choice. Both dds have different ones – Snow white & Aurora, but I like their Shrek alter egos better – fight back as opposed to wait for prince. Rapunzel did disobey who she thought was mother. Tiana trusted a talking frog. Milan falsified her gender. Ariel disobeyed father. Pocohantes and Jasmine grew up in oppressive cultures to women, but certainly did what they could. Cinderella played with mice and needed magic. So, I guess I’ll go with Belle – smart, pretty (partial to brunettes), and wants to travel.
We love Belle in our family. Same reasons as Norm–smart, pretty, loves to read and travel, not afraid to stand up for herself.
Man that was tough…Clearly Jasmine is the the choice if you are refering to Meet’n’Greets at the Parks.
But my favorite princess based on the Movie and Mickey’s Philharmagic…would be the Ariel-Little Mermaid!!!
