OK, so this one’s not technically a “Disney” poll. But it’s a “Dad” poll. And this time of year, it’s definitely on my mind. What’s your favorite post-season sports championship? Why?

Love me some Hockey! Avs havent been there in a few but there is always hope for this year.
Nothing better than the chase for Lord Stanley’s cup!
NCAA Tournament. NFL playoffs are great, but how many sports other than NCAA basketball do you sit down and fill out a tournament bracket for? In what other post season does a nation end up cheering for some small, no-name team that only 22 people have ever even heard of before?
Picked NHL as I love me some hockey and love the fact that everyone who gets in has a real chance at hoisting Lord Stanley’s Mug.
Runner ups are as follows:
NCAA Tournament: (Andy’s comment sums this up perfectly)
NFL: Love the spectacle of the Super Bowl, but typically the game isn’t worth watching. (Current year excluded)
College Football: Just cause I love NCAA FB, but the structure still needs work. (Hate the BCS)
I voted NHL as well. It seems like the intensity is turned up a lot more over the regular season compared to other sports.
The idea of the College Football Bowl Games is good, but watching two 7-5 teams duke it out in the Famous Idaho Potato.com Bowl on December 17th just doesn’t scream “Championship!” to me.
And I’m sure I speak for most Americans when I say “What the hell is an FA Cup?” 🙂
What, no World Cup soccer? I still would have voted for NFL.
I guess I will have to hold out on my vote until The Little League World series gets added. I would rather watch kids play the game with heart and love for the game, then watch million dollar cry babies in any sport any time.
“Lord Stanley! Lord Stanley! Bring out the Brandy!”
