True story: After my first trip I was soooo hooked that I was online looking at jobs at Disney. My wife and I actually had interviews scheduled for our 2nd trip before our friend who was the head of HR for Disney for 30 years called and told us to hold off as they were laying people off. Someday!!
It takes me a day. The day after the long drive home, I do laundry, trip report, and start going thru by loot. The next day, it is back to the routine.
Like prattpak, I still look for jobs at WDW, Orlando, Vero, or anywhere else. My dream is to retire there to be a boat captain.
It usually takes me a day to get back into the routine. Admittedly I feel very tired when I land, but as long as I have time to recover, I’m back to normal. It takes me much longer to stop day dreaming about the amazing time I had though!
It, too, only takes me a day. But my DW and I still talk about retiring down there. And to think we’re this hooked without even spending a full week there yet!
It will be interesting to see how hooked we all are after spending a week at BLT this Spring!
Very hooked, Scott! BLT is pretty awesome!
I hate leaving. If I enjoyed my job more, it might be easier to get back into the routine. But there’s definitely a hangover effect.
It takes me a day. As much as I enjoy Disney, I really like getting back home and not sharing a room with DS and DD.
Scott, BLT is great. DW greenlighted buying more points. It is the best DVC at WDW except that we have not stayed at BCV.
Ok, I went with over 7. I’ve been home for 11 and I’m still not over it. I was just sitting here going through Photopass pictures and I just want to go back so bad.
Truthfully, I got back into the groove after being home for about a day because I was so busy for the past week. Now that things have slowed back down to a near normal pace, I have more time to think about how much fun I had 2 weeks ago.
Since it takes me a bit longer to get to WDW and back (15 or so hour time difference), it takes a couple of days, but I’m always longing to go back.
