DAD Show #188 – Tagging Along to WDW with Nathan Trent

DAD Show #188 - Tagging Along to WDW with Nathan Trent
On this week’s DAD Show, we tag along with Nathan Trent, as he tags along with his nephew’s family for his nephew’s first trip to Walt Disney World. Nate shares his impressions of some of the Disney Visa cardholder perks at Epcot (especially during the Food & Wine Festival). We also get Nate’s take on the “Food & Food Festival” – and even his opinion on a couple of beers. And throughout, we get the flavor of a different kind of trip, sort of a hybrid between a family trip with young children and a solo Walt Disney World vacation.

The DAD Show is sponsored by Kingdom Strollers, Orlando’s Premium Stroller and Crib Rental source.

Have you ever tagged along with someone else’s Walt Disney World vacation? Have another Disney vacation experience you’d like to share? We’d love to hear about it! Email us at podcast@DisDads.com; tweet us at DisDadsPodcast on Twitter; and check out our DISDads Podcast Facebook page.

DAD Show #187 – The Great WDW Rain Delay with Chad King

DAD Show #187 - WDW Rain Delay with Chad King
Chad King returns to the DAD Show to talk about his family’s annual Fall trip to Walt Disney World. Their “usual” plan was literally washed away by Hurricane Matthew. But not even a late start, last-minute resort change, and hours spent on hold could dampen his family’s enjoyment of their vacation!

The DAD Show is sponsored by Kingdom Strollers, Orlando’s Premium Stroller and Crib Rental source.

If I Ran Disney Animation … – Episode 450

DISDads Podcast Episode 450 - If I Ran Disney Animation ... with Erica Anderson and Richard Grady
Host: Aaron Rittmaster
Panel: Eric Anderson & Richard Grady

We continue the “If I Ran” series, with Eric Anderson and Richard Grady taking the boss’ seat, this time at Walt Disney Animation and Pixar Animation Studio. We get there takes on the right future direction for Disney’s animated properties, the role of sequels, ideas for future films, and even thoughts about creative talent to work with in the future.

Eric Anderson brought us the suggestion of making an animated version of the musical “Hamilton,” inspired by the work of wonderfully talented student artist Pati Cmak of The Animation Workshop in Denmark. This led to an interesting discussion of a whole series of Disney American History animated musicals. Here’s a short sample animation that Cmak posted to her Tumblr (for the song “Burn”)
