The DAD Show #35 – Walt Disney World with Josh Shusterman

DISDadsCircle1400x1400

Welcome back to the DISDads Podcast Midweek Destinations And Diversions Show. The DAD Show is your humpday vacation fix. Our intro and outro music was created and performed by Mitch Furman.

In Episode 35, I talk to Josh Shusterman about his family’s September 2013 Walt Disney World vacation. We talk about traveling from Hawaii to Orlando with young children, staying at the Shades of Green resort, and adjusting plans on the fly.

The DAD Show is sponsored by Kingdom Strollers, Orlando’s Premium Stroller and Crib Rental source.

Do you have any questions or comments about Josh’s trip? Want to volunteer to share your vacation story with us? Email us at podcast@DisDads.com; tweet us at DisDadsPodcast on Twitter; and join in the online discussion of the podcasts on our DISDads Discussion Boards. The DISDads GKTW Charity Auction is back!

This morning we are starting our second annual DISDads charity auction for Give Kids the World. All proceeds from this auction will be donated to Give Kids the World Village, via our FirstGiving page. (Shipping costs for auction items are absorbed by the item donor).

Here’s how this will work:
1. Our goal is to post one or more items for auction each week between now and the DISDads Convention in January. Some items may be big. Others may be smaller. (Note: if you have an item you’d like to donate to be auctioned, please contact me directly at podcast@disdads.com, rather than commenting here).
2. This is your basic silent auction. The closing date and time for each auction item will be posted with the item. You place your bid by entering it in the Comments to the item post. Each bid must be higher than the bid previously posted. The high bid posted as of the closing date and time is the auction winner. The final time-arbiter will be the automatic time-stamp assigned to each comment by the WordPress software and the server hosting DISDads.com.
3. If you have submitted a winning bid, you will have 48 hours to make a donation in that amount to the FirstGiving page linked above. If you do not complete your donation within 48 hours, the item will be offered to the next highest bidder. There will be no refunds of donations, that’s just bad karma! In addition, you will need to send your mailing address to podcast@disdads.com so we know where to send your auction item.
4. Once your donation registers at FirstGiving, your auction prize will be mailed directly to you.

The first auction item will be posted before Noon Central Time today!
