MCU Phase III: Things Are Getting Strange – Episode 446

MCU Phase III: Things Are Getting Strange - Episode 446 with Erica Anderson, Richard Grady, and Aaron Rittmaster
Host: Aaron Rittmaster
Panel: Eric Anderson & Richard Grady

We take a break from our “If I Ran” series to preview the impending release of what many believe to be the linchpin of Phase III of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Doctor Strange will officially be released in the United States on November 4, 2016. Without getting particularly spoilery (caution: we do discuss some plot issues that have been widely discussed publicly, and talk about some casting issues in some depth), the panel’s goal is to provide a bit of background and context for one of the lesser-known MCU heroes, heading into the movie’s premiere.

Will you be checking our Doctor Strange on opening weekend? What are your expectations heading into the movie? Tell us about it! Leave a comment here on the blog; Email us at podcast@disdads.com; tweet us at DisDadsPodcast on Twitter; and check out our DISDads Podcast Facebook page.

Please consider sharing your opinions about our podcasts with us. For just one more day, you can fill out DISDads Podcast Listener Survey anonymously if you prefer. Next week, we’ll be returning to the “If I Ran” series, with a LIVE show over at DisTalk Radio at 8:00 p.m. Central Time. The panel will give their answers to what they would do if they ran Disneyland Resort – but we’d love to have your feedback live too! You can join us in the chatroom at DisTalk Radio (registration required) and we’ll even offer an opportunity to join the Skype conversation during the show.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story Trailer released

At the beginning of the summer, the Internet lit up with Star Wars film fans in a near-panic over news of extensive re-shoots being ordered for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, the first of the Star Wars “Anthology Films.” The next couple of weeks featured the film press trying to dig up more information about the reshoots. Followed by the somewhat unusual step of insiders like director Gareth Edwards and Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy actually going on the record with film journalists and bloggers to discuss the reshoots.

And as of last night’s debut of the official Rogue One: A Star Wars Story trailer, none of that drama from earlier this summer seems to matter. Is it December 16 yet?

Disney News & Rumors Oddsmakers, Part 2 – Episode 400

DISDads Podcast Episode 400 - Disney News and Rumors Oddsmakers, Part 2

Host: Aaron Ritmaster
Panel: Jon Arthur, Kevin Crossman, Dave Juart

This week we continue our Oddsmakers discussion, picking up with goings-on around the Walt Disney World resort, and continuing to other Disney Parks, the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and the Disney company itself. This also marks our 400th episode release, and we also recently crossed a major listenership threshold, as we’ve now had over 100,000 unique downloads of a DISDads show. I know that’s small potatoes for some podcasters, but it’s pretty darned exciting for us – thank you for listening!

What do you think about the topics we covered in this episode? Did the panelists get it right? Who’s going to listen back a couple of years from now and regret what he said? Tell us about it!
