Help us with the continuing improvement of the DISDads Podcast

CoffeMugLargeHey guys, I noticed as I was putting together this most recent list of podcast topics and going through the process of collecting volunteers just how much the show has grown and developed over the last 4 1/2 years. I also realized we hadn’t done any kind of systematic review of what we’re doing and how we’re doing it, and it’s about time we did.

I would really appreciate it if anyone who listens or listened to the podcast would take the DISDads Podcast Listener Survey. I’d appreciate it so much, that just by participating in the survey (and including your Email address) you’ll be entered in a drawing to win a pair of DISDads.com coffee mugs. We’ll hold the drawing when the survey closes, which is currently scheduled to be October 31. I’d like to collect enough surveys to have statistically significant results, so we may have to extend that deadline a bit. But I’ll be sure to come back and let you know in the comments to this post if we do.

The survey does ask for demographic information. The demographic information will be utilized in the aggregate ONLY, as it is the kind of information that is helpful when we’re negotiating with sponsors. The demographic information will not be referenced in connection with individual responder records.

Thank you, in advance, to everyone who participates. This information will be very helpful as we move forward with the show.

Enjoying a Rainy Day at Walt Disney World – Episode 390

Episode390Host: Aaron Rittmaster
Panel: Terry Hawkins, Joe Masters

With an average annual temperature of over 73 degrees, it’s easy to forget that with that warmth in Orlando comes rain. Orlando gets an average of 110 days of measurable precipitation per year. And while June, July, August and September get the most days of rain, even in its driest months, Orlando averages more than one day of rain per week. So the chances are very good that during your Walt Disney World vacation, you’ll encounter at least some rain. The panel talks about ways to enjoy those rainy days at Walt Disney World, beyond just getting through them.

The DISDads Podcast is sponsored by Mouse Master Travel. Let a Mouse Master take care of the details of your next Disney Destination vacation, so you can focus on fun!

How do you handle rainy days during your WDW vacation? What did you think of the panel’s suggestions? Tell us about it! Disneyland Under Construction – Episode 388

DisneylandUnderConstructionHost: Aaron Rittmaster
Panel: Kevin Crossman, David Platt, Ryan Treichler

STAR WARS LAND IS COMING!!! And yes, we are all very excited for Star Wars Land to appear in Disney Parks on both coasts. But it’s going to be a while, and in the mean time, there’s some serious construction work to be done. On this week’s show, the panel talks about how the Star Wars Land construction is affecting Disneyland theme park. We discuss the impact of Rivers of America construction on existing attractions and paths through the park, talk about unique opportunities being offered to guests to help ease the pain of temporarily closed attractions, and consider what changes might need to be made to our usual touring plans in order to accommodate the impact of construction.

The DISDads Podcast is sponsored by Mouse Master Travel. Let a Mouse Master take care of the details of your next Disney Destination vacation, so you can focus on fun!

What do you think of the way Disneyland has handled this initial Star Wars Land construction phase? Is there anything the panel missed? Tell us about it!
