Episode 508 will be late

Quick Service Dining Tournament LogoMy apologies. Best laid plans and all that. But this week’s panel episode of the DISDads Podcast will not post until Wednesday or Thursday.

I thought I’d brought the recording will me and could edit it during break time. Unfortunately, the copied file was corrupt, so it couldn’t be edited. I won’t be able to get access to the file again until Imreturn home.

Again, sorry for the delay. We’ll get the show back on track as quickly as possible around the middle of this week.

Help us get the Quick Service Dining Plan Tournament Brackets Organized

Quick Service Dining Tournament LogoOption 1 would, of course, obviate the “contest” between the drafters, since they’d all end up with identical preliminary round “scores.”

Option 2 is just based on the numbers.

  • 14 Magic Kingdom locations are in
  • 13 Epcot locations
  • 13 Resort hotel locations
  • 12 Disney Springs locations
  • 7 Animal Kingdom theme park and 5 Hollywood Studios locations would be distributed to the other regions as “wild cards”

Option 3 is the mathematical solution. Just treat the draft order as the seeding order, and construct a huge “S-Curve” from Pick 1 to Pick 64. This has the advantage of evenly distributing each captain’s picks, but leaves each region without a clear collective identity.

How should we organize the Quick Service Dining Tournament Regions?

Disneyland Character Dining – Episode 496

Disneyland Character Dining with host Aaron Rittmaster, panelist David Platt and special guests Josh Taylor and Kris Sheppard
Host: Aaron Rittmaster
Panelist: David Platt Special Guests: Kris Sheppard and Josh Taylor

This week, DISDads Podcast host Aaron Rittmaster is joined by panelist David Platt and special guests Kris Sheppard, of Go Mouse Scouts and Josh Taylor of Network 1901 to talk about Disneyland Character Dining. We cover all of the options, before a fun discussion about what other character dining we’d like to see at Disneyland. Then we offer recommendations for Character Dining choices for various hypothetical family groups.

Over at Go Mouse Scouts, Kris has helpfully shared a couple of reviews of Disneyland character dining experiences that are part of their podcast episodes, as well as offering a link to his free EBook, “10 Ways Families Can Save on a Disneyland Trip!”

Meanwhile, over on Network 1901, the next season of Josh’s intriguing podcast mini-series “The World That Never Was” will drop soon. Now’s the time to catch up on Season 1, in case you missed it.

Which is your favorite Disneyland Character Dining option? What character dining experience would you most like to see added to the lineup? Leave a comment here on the blog; Email us at podcast@disdads.com; tweet us at DisDadsPodcast on Twitter; and check out our DISDads Podcast Facebook page.
