Today in Disney History

Disneyland:  July 15, 1955
Just two days before the park’s Grand Opening, local newspapers, including the Long Beach Press-Telegram and the Santa Ana Register, include an advertising supplement for Disneyland, highlighting all of the “wonderous attractions” that guests will find.  It also includes ads from the new park’s sponsors.

Walt Disney World:  July 15, 1995
Nestled on a small island within the Seven Seas Lagoon, conviently located between the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and the Polynesian Resort, Disney’s Wedding Pavilion opens, and for the first time, couples can exchange vows in a beautifully appointed, glass enclosed, Victorian themed non-denominational chapel.
