After a quick bus ride from John Wayne Airport, we arrived at the Disneyland Hotel! WOW – this place will take your breath away. It is sparkling in every way with hidden Mickey’s and so many old photos and collections from Disneyland’s beginning. You can easily spend a day just searching for all the photos.
We checked in and there was no wait in line. After grabbing our keys, we went to Media Checkin upstairs. Disney gave me a ton of stuff. After a quick lesson on how the NEW PhotoPass + works, I went to retrieve my family. This event they separate Media from their Families for a few events.
We grabbed a bite at the Tangaroa Terrace – tried the Pork Flatbread (awesome with barbeque) – my son had the nuggets, rice, and grapes. It came with a milk. My wife and I shared a drink for two – served ON FIRE – awesome.
We jumped in the pool – tried all 3 of them including the 2 waterslides and the 2 small kid slides. The water was clean, warm with plenty of lifeguards. Pools require a room key for entrance. Towels and plenty of chairs are everywhere.
Our room is huge – plenty of room for 3 of us. Fridge, flatscreen tv, double sink, separate toilet area, sofabed, desk, chair, wonderful beds, closet with robes and amazing toiletries by H2O…
Would like more outlets and more hangars. We called for more hangars…they came quickly. The magical part of the room was the interactive headboard. It shows fireworks and plays “When You Wish Upon A Star!”
The view we have is of the Downtown Disney area, along with a view of the Matterhorn and part of California Adventure. Can’t wait to see what it looks like tonight.
